All trims and flashings go on first and the panels after, which means far less foot traffic on the finished panels and fewer scratches. We tore off to the plywood, replaced a large section of bad decking on the back with new OSB, removed vent pipes, skylights, sun tubes and attic fans the home no longer needed, covered the whole deck in ice and water shield, and flashed nine pipe penetrations and a large chimney.
An old TuffRib metal roof torn off and replaced with 26-gauge Textured Black 1.5-inch snap lock standing seam with clips, about 5,000 to 5,200 sq ft. New underlayment over the whole roof, full ice and water shield on the back porch, new endwall and sidewall flashings under the siding, and the chimney flashed first so the chimney contractor could rebuild around it.
